Following events were organized at the sub national level to educate the government officials on DesInventar and make them aware of the data validation process.

• Consultation meeting for data validation in district and divisional level. Meeting was held in December 2006 at the DMC for the district officers of Colombo, Gampaha, Kandy, Puttalam, Kalutara, Galle, Matara, Hambantota, Ratnapura, Ampara, Trincomalee, Batticola
• Stakeholder and data validation workshop in Kegalla district on 26th October, Matale on 29th October, Polonnanruwa on 2007/11/06, Kurunegala on 2007/11/09, Monaragala on 2007/11/14, Anuradhapura on 2007/ 11/ 16, Badulla on 2007/12/26, Nuwara Eliya on 2008/01/10
• Awareness workshop on DesInventar and data validation process for District disaster management coordinators in Mannar, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu, Kilinochchi and Jaffna districts. Workshop was held in January 2008 at the DMC
